Meal Serve Details
Serving a meal at the St. Francis House is a great opportunity for families, church groups, service groups and businesses to volunteer in a fun environment. Here are some details regarding serving a noon meal and an evening meal.
Breakfast:
Served from 6:30 am - 7:30 am
Volunteers are finished by 7:30 am
Noon Meal:
Served from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
Volunteers are finished by 12:45 pm
Evening Meal:
Served from 6:15 - 7:45 pm
Volunteers are finished by 8 pm
Meal Serving Options
Serve a Meal Only
Arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the meal start time (6 am for breakfast, 11:15 am for noon meal and 6 pm for evening meal).
Serve the meal that is prepared by the St. Francis House staff. Guests will clean up.
You are welcome to eat and interact with our guests.
Prepare late plates for guests who will return after the meal is over due to work, treatment, etc.
Prepare and Serve a Meal
Determine a time to arrive to begin preparing the meal.
You will prepare a meal based on the menu items selected and provided by the St. Francis House staff. You can use our kitchen to prepare the meal.
Serve the meal. Guests will clean up.
You are welcome to eat and interact with our guests.
Prepare late plates for guests who will return after the meal is over due to work, treatment, etc.
Provide a Full Meal
Arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the meal start time.
Prepare and/or provide a meal of your choice. Some groups like to do all of the cooking on their own, while other groups prefer to purchase food from local restaurants. The choice is yours.
If certain ingredients are needed, the St. Francis House can help provide them for you.
Serve the meal. Guests will clean up.

Age Requirements
Volunteers must be 13 years of age or older to work in the kitchen or pour beverages. Volunteers under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
Dress Code
All volunteers must wear:
Closed-toe and closed-heel shoes (no sandals or flip flops)
Jeans, casual pants, capris or long shorts (below the knee). No leggings.
Sleeved shirts (no tank tops or muscle shirts)
